Lucent Technologies joins the SCOPE Alliance
Lucent Technologies joins the SCOPE Alliance, an association of the world’s leading NEPs, adding to SCOPE’s global perspective and reach.
Piscataway, NJ - June 1, 2006 -The SCOPE Alliance, an association of leading network equipment providers, today announced that Lucent Technologies has joined the alliance committing to support SCOPE’s mission of enabling and promoting the availability and interoperability of open carrier-grade base platforms based on commercial off-the-shelf building blocks.
"Having Lucent Technologies, long known for Bell Labs innovations, join the SCOPE Alliance is further evidence that open base platforms advocated by SCOPE supports the efforts of leading network equipment providers to better serve their customers by enabling the introduction of sophisticated new products to market quickly and more cost effectively" said Timo Jokiaho, Director of Technology, Nokia Networks Business Group and SCOPE Alliance board chairman.
