SCOPE Alliance Adds Intel and Diversified Technology, Inc., as First Contributor Members
Sponsor Members Huawei and Lucent Technologies are elected to the Board of Directors
Piscataway, NJ - June 26, 2006 - The SCOPE Alliance, an association of leading network equipment providers, today announced that Intel and Diversified Technology, Inc. (DTI), have joined the Alliance committing to support SCOPE’s mission of enabling and promoting the availability and interoperability of open carrier-grade base platforms based on commercial off-the-shelf building blocks.
“Having Intel and DTI, leading manufacturers of open specifications based subsystem, adds an important perspective of independent COTS manufacturers in creating related specifications profiles,” said Bo Andren, SCOPE’s membership officer and an Ericson’s representative to the SCOPE Board. “SCOPE encourages any and all open specifications based COTS component manufacturers to join the Alliance to ensure that their very valuable perspective is reflected in the profiles published by SCOPE.”
“Appointing Huawei and Lucent Technologies to the SCOPE Board ensures that SCOPE board is as representative of the global NEP market as possible,” said Henry Turko, SCOPE’s Marketing officer and a Nokia representative to the SCOPE Board.
